Leaders In Life-Saving Cardiac Surgery

Advancing heart care through expertise and innovation.

Heart patients with complex or rare conditions often feel they have no place to turn. For many, our Department of Cardiac Surgery is their last hope because we set the standard for premier cardiovascular care and successfully treat conditions of all kinds — including those deemed “untreatable.”

As Michigan’s #1 ranked hospital for heart, vascular, and stroke care, backed by our history of forward-thinking innovation, we take our mission to help the sickest patients seriously. But to continue leading the field, we must build on our success across patient care, education, and research.

Your support can fuel our momentum across:

  • Research exploring regenerative medicine that may help us grow blood vessels and heart valves
  • Clinical trials for minimally invasive and other surgical breakthroughs
  • Novel technology and device design
  • Projects to develop, identify, and share best practices in cardiac surgery
  • Experiential training giving future cardiac surgeons unparalleled educations

Our team works together and across disciplines to improve outcomes and quality of life for our patients — and those facing heart disease around the world. Join us! Your generosity will have a great impact on progress.
