Make the Michigan Difference by joining the valued Michigan Medicine Friends Gift Shops team.
Volunteer at the Friends Gift Shops
If you have a smile for everyone, like to meet interesting people and are fulfilled by helping others, become a Friends volunteer and work at one of our Michigan Medicine Gift Shops. Our nonprofit Gift Shops are looking for volunteers to cashier or assist with merchandise in the stock room. No retail experience required.
We offer training, flexible hours, scheduling and free parking, as well as the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of patients, families, visitors and staff.
The Friends Gift Shops team is made up of more than 60 volunteers and paid staff. Our volunteers generally work one 4-hour shift per week, but this is highly flexible according to your schedule.

Friends is board-governed, volunteer-staffed, nonprofit community organization that administers and manages four Michigan Medicine Gift Shops. The revenue generated from these shops provides funds for patient programs and educational projects.
If you would enjoy supporting patient programs and health education, you could be our kind of Friend. Contact Waitzy Brown for more information.
